ABSENTEE/ADVANCED/PROVISONAL TOTALS

MAY 24, 2022 GENERAL PRIMARY

INTENT TO TABULATE ABSENTEE VOTES EARLY 

In accordance with O.C.G.A. Section 21-2-386 (a)(2 &3),  and SEB 183-1-14-0.7-.15, notice is hereby given that the process of counting all absentee ballots cast in the General Primary Election to be held in Effingham County on May 24, 2022, will be held at the Elections and Registration Office located at 284 Highway 119 South in Springfield, GA.  The process of counting all absentee ballots will begin on May 23 at 9:00 am and continue until completed on the day of the election.   The final tally of these votes will not be completed and included in the final election tally until after the polls close at 7:00 pm. 

 

 COMPUTATION AND CANVASSING OF RETURNS 

In accordance with O.C.G.A. Section 21-2-492, the computation and canvassing of all votes cast in the General Primary Election to be held in Effingham County on May 24, 2022, will be held at the Elections and Registration Office located at 284 Highway 119 South in Springfield, GA beginning after the polls close at 7:00 pm and continue until all votes have been counted.   These election returns will also be at the Elections and Registration Office Building and available on the Secretary of States website at www.sos.ga.gov
